Two women arrested after road accidents
Two women were arrested on suspicion of impaired driving following single-vehicle accidents this week.Police on mobile patrol arrested a 41-year-old woman after her car collided with a concrete divider on Crow Lane in Pembroke.According to a police spokeswoman the St George’s resident was not injured in the accident, which occurred on Tuesday around 6.45pm. A second accident occurred on Middle Road, Southampton on Wednesday, near the junction with Church Road. Said a police spokeswoman: “It appears that a car was travelling on Middle Road when it collided with a wall.“The driver, a 32-year-old Southampton woman, was not injured; however she was later arrested and detained on suspicion of impaired driving.”Police are investigating both incidents, with both women expected to be charged in Magistrates’ Court.
