October 25, 2011Dear SirEvery day I open The Royal Gazette and think that the Alaska Hall-ers can’t possibly make even more stupid and humorous comments (hard to do both at the same time but these are special people!). Today we have another of Paula Cog’s pearls of wisdom explaining why she plagiarised comments from another source — that on top of the ‘keep your eyes on the prize’ comment about who knows what she was referring to. Bermuda is on the verge of seeing the emergence of another Sarah Palin!!On another topic, I also love reading the lectures of Eva Hodgson but today she falls to the sword of Trevor Moniz who took her to task on her ‘labelling’ of blacks who don’t vote her way. Eva, you are so entrenched in your personal view of the past that you simply cannot get past 1959. Do you really believe that nothing matters except your own take on a topic? You are always talking but never listening; your Big Conversation is just another lecture; and you always state ‘the problem’ but you never have a solution. In your world, nothing changes and we are all stuck in a time warp.I hope that the OBA wins the next election for no other reason than they are the only real hope for competence and good governance and because this bunch of clowns sure doesn’t have either. And maybe Eva will begin to see the changes that she is not sure she wants to see with a diverse and less racially inspired group of young people.POLLY SAWYERHamilton Parish
