Fray to succeed Lines as KeyTech CEO
Keytech Ltd has announced the appointment of Lloyd Fray as its new chief executive officer following the retirement of Sheila Lines next year.Mr Fray, who has been the CEO of Logic, M3 Wireless and most recently the Bermuda Telephone Company (BTC), will take over his new role on August 1, 2012.Ms Lines will step down the day before on July 31, 2012, following 10 years with the group of companies.Dr James King, chairman of the KeyTech board of directors, said: “Sheila has been with the KeyTech Group for 10 years, the last six as CEO. Sheila has shown tremendous vision and leadership, and has transformed the Group into a major player in the local communications arena.“Under Sheila’s watch KeyTech is adequately prepared to face the technological growth of the future and the corresponding communications challenges.” In expressing the sentiment of the board.”He continued: “We will be sad to see Sheila go but wish her every success in the future.”On the appointment of Mr. Lloyd Fray, Dr King said: “Mr. Lloyd Fray is well known within the KeyTech family, he has been CEO of Logic, M3 Wireless and most recently BTC.”He continued: “ In the board’s quest to find a replacement for Ms Lines we instituted a very rigorous screening process and the internal candidate; Mr Lloyd Fray; emerged as the successor.“The handover period is approximately 10 months, enough time to smoothly transition Lloyd into his role as CEO KeyTech Group and to find a suitable replacement for him as CEO of The Bermuda Telephone Company Limited (BTC). The search for a CEO for BTC will begin immediately.“On behalf of the board I wish to extend my congratulations to Mr Fray as we usher in a new era at the KeyTech Group of companies.”
