JetBlue passenger kicked off flight seen in Dockyard ‘acting odd’ earlier

A bystander who noticed a woman “acting odd” in Dockyard later recognised a JetBlue passenger whose mid-air outburst brought a flight to New York back to Bermuda.“She might have been nervous about flying, because I saw her at Meyer Travel in Dockyard early that morning, with her luggage, trying to get a one-way ticket to New York,” the eyewitness said. “She didn’t seem upset, just insistent on getting a ticket and she could not grasp the fact that it was impossible for her to do it.”According to the source, the woman repeatedly asked Meyer staff for a ticket aboard the Carival Fantasy which headed for Charleston, South Carolina, not New York. After reports of erratic behaviour on JetBlue’s flight 1732 to New York on Sunday, the aircraft returned to LF Wade International Airport. Onlookers described seeing the woman passenger handcuffed and marched across the Tarmac by police.“I don’t know who she was, but I recognised her picture immediately,” the Dockyard witness said. “She didn’t seem particularly agitated. It was just very odd behaviour.”According to JetBlue passengers, the customer banged the bathroom door and tampered with the beverage trolley during their flight.
