October 9, 2011Dear Sir,A few weeks ago some nasty person kindly “dumped” four car tyres at the North Shore end of Jennings Road, Smith’s.On enquiry I discovered these could not be taken to the incinerator and Works Department don’t provide for that service. Apparently the airport is the place to go and you have to find your own way there. Hence the dumping!Fortunately Mr. Eugene Botelho of Bermuda Tire came to the rescue and voluntarily collected the tyres and disposed of them accordingly. I would like to say a big thank you to him on behalf of the Jennings Road neighbourhood.This might be avoided in the future if tyres could be dropped at the incinerator or collected by the bulk pick up service.RESIDENTSmith’s
