Government schools will hold their midterm break in October instead of November this year. The Ministry of Education yesterday announced the change, advising parents the holiday would cover the period of October 24 through 28.Said a spokeswoman: “According to the Ministry, the change in dates is aligned with the Cambridge Curriculum.“It will also allow for an even distance in instructional time frame and give schools more time to implement interventions after their midterm assessments and before the end of the term.”The changes has been discussed with “stakeholder teacher and principal unions, and all parties are in agreement”, the spokeswoman added.
