The Bermuda Police Service is reminding the public to lock their doors and windows when not at home. Police are also advising residents to record serial numbers of valuables in case they are taken.A Police spokesman recommended that residents store valuables out of sight, record serial numbers of all items and take pictures of their possessions in particular electronic equipment and items of jewellery so that if they are stolen and later recovered, there is an accurate way of identifying them. The public is also reminded that receiving stolen property is an offence punishable under the law.Residents are asked to report any suspicious activities or individuals in their neighbourhoods by calling 295-0011.
