St George’s man charged with having handgun

A 26-year-old man charged with possessing a firearm and four bullets appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.Rickai Dickinson, of Clarence Street, St George’s, is accused of possessing a semi-automatic pistol and four 0.45 ACP hollow point cartridges on June 5 in St George’s, while not being the holder of a firearms licence.Mr Dickinson, who was represented by defence lawyer Craig Attridge, was not required to enter a plea as the matter is indictable only and must be heard in the Supreme Court.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner adjourned the matter for mention on August 4. Mr Dickinson was remanded in custody until that date.
