Bermudian Simon Boden has been named to the post of director of revenue management of The Fairmont Southampton.In this role, Mr Boden will be responsible for overseeing the processes associated with demand, revenue, forecasting, inventory and opportunity analysis as well as will participate in setting the South Shore hotel’s long-term strategy.Regional director of sales and marketing Shelly Meszoly said: “The appointment of Simon Boden to this post is timely and well deserved. With his extensive and varied background in the hospitality industry, Simon brings a wealth of experience to his new role and will make a tremendous contribution as a member of our already outstanding sales and marketing team.“We are further pleased to welcome Simon to the Fairmont Southampton’s Executive Committee.”Mr Boden has been director of Discover Bermuda at the Fairmont Southampton since 2009.He is the former director of revenue management for The Orchid in Hawaii, worked in the same role at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, where he was also the former sales manager.
