June 28, 2011Dear Sir,You may have heard that we don’t seem to get personal service from our banks any more — well let me tell you. My godmother celebrated her 92nd birthday last week. She is a young 92 and still drives. She panics when she receives correspondence from her bank because she usually does not understand the content. We can all relate to that. She tries never to call the bank and is fearful of call centres. However she visited her local HSBC Bermuda ATM last week, inserted her card and guess what — the machine wished her a “ Happy Birthday”. She was amazed and delighted.
