Harbour Nights in Hamilton has been called off by organisers this evening, due to the likelihood of bad weather. The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce’s marketing and events coordinator Stacey Madeiros-Cooke said cancelling the Harbour Nights just hours before it was due to open had been a tough call: “Last year we didn’t miss one, so this was a decision we did not make lightly.”However, according to the Bermuda Weather Service, there is some risk of thunder later on.“The storm advisories show inclement weather coming in, so I had to make the call around 4pm,” Mrs Madeiros-Cooke said.Weather conditions are expected to clear late tonight.
