A lone sailor determined to cross the Atlantic in a solar-powered boat is now on his way to Bermuda from the US.Greg Frucci, a 50-year-old filmmaker, was yesterday about halfway to the Island from North Carolina. He set sail on Thursday from the port of Wilmington, vowing to ”head straight for Bermuda and not stop until I get there”.He plans to continue on for Portugal, covering a total distance of 3,800 miles.Mr Frucci’s 30-day trip, intended to demonstrate sustainable practices, will be documented by solar-powered cameras for his film ‘Changing Course’.His progress is also being posted on a web site, where Mr Frucci speculated the trip to Bermuda should take him about six days.lUseful web link: www.coolchangeproductions.com.
