A container ship is diverting to Bermuda today so a 26-year-old man can get emergency treatment for serious hand and wrist injuries.It is thought the victim suffered burns while cleaning the deck of the merchant vessel Washington Express as it made its way from Bremerhaven, Germany, to Charleston, South Carolina.The US-registered ship is expected to reach the Island by 2pm today, when the man will be taken ashore and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
