Cannabis was discovered under bike seat
A Somerset electrician was fined after he admitted having 6.5g of cannabis stashed in his bike seat.Sheridan Bremar, 54, pleaded guilty in Magistrates’ Court on Thursday to possessing the controlled drug outside Woody’s Sports Club.Crown counsel Tawana Tannock told the court that at around 12.40am on November 27, officers stopped at the Sandys bar and noticed Bremar outside sitting on a parked bike.When he saw the police, he allegedly began to quickly look in different directions before getting off the bike and walking into the bar.Officers went to the parked bike and, reportedly noticing the smell of cannabis, followed Bremar into the bar and told him that they intended to search his motorcycle.When the officers opened the bike seat, they found a plastic twist containing plant material, which Bremar admitted to be cannabis.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner fined Bremar $800.
