Basyn is new Bacardi CIO
Bermuda-based Bacardi Ltd has announced the appointment of Caroline Basyn as global chief information officer.Ms Basyn will be responsible for all information technology at Bacardi, including leading the company’s overall IT strategy and implementation. She will join Bacardi July 1 and will be based in Geneva, Switzerland. Ms Basyn, 50, will also be a member of the Bacardi leadership team. She joins Bacardi from a 26-year career at Procter & Gamble (P&G) where she was most recently director of trade fund management solutions, with responsibility for the delivery of a global platform to manage trade funds of significant promotional spends with customers to promote P&G products in key retail locations across the world.In this role, she delivered a solution to enable better management of these spends though better visibility and insights on promotion effectiveness, while ensuring the successful operational of existing transactional systems, Bacardi said yesterday.
