Three road users were arrested on suspicion of drink-driving over the weekend, police said yesterday.

The arrests came after officers set up breath test checkpoints in Hamilton Parish, Smith’s, Devonshire, Pembroke, Paget, Warwick and Southampton from Friday evening until Sunday evening.

No checkpoints are scheduled for next weekend, but a police spokesman warned that routine patrols will be on the lookout for offences, including drink-driving.
