Bank of Ireland increases fixed-rate home loans

DUBLIN (Bloomberg) Bank of Ireland Plc and its ICB Building Society unit will increase rates on fixed-rate mortgages of between 0.7 percent and 1.3 percent, according to a company spokeswoman.The move follows the European Central Bank’s decision today to increase its benchmark rate by 25 basis points. All ECB tracker rates will increase, the spokeswoman said in an e-mailed response to questions.The new fixed rates take effect from April 15.
