The West End Development Corporation (Wedco) has asked Planning for retroactive approval of bus parking built on Pender Road in Dockyard.The parking for 23 buses was built as part of the Dockyard redevelopment plan. The proposal says the Public Transportation Board facility was “strategically placed as part of Dockyard as the Island’s main cruise ship hub”.It adjoins the Shell Company storage, near the Dockyard marina. As well as bus parking, the fenced-off site can accommodate 27 cars and 16 bikes.The Planning documents recommend it for approval but note “blatant disregard” for normal planning procedure.
