One shares gain 6.7% on BSX

Shares of One Communications Ltd gained 6.7 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The telecommunications group gained 25 cents to close at $4, a 52-week high, on the trading of 12,000 shares.

One was the only stock to trade as The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 3.4 points, or 0.22 per cent to close on 1,559.01. For the week, the index fell 240.34 points, or 15.41 per cent, mainly due to a 20.8 per cent fall in shares of Butterfield Bank over the five trading days.

The BSX Insurance Index climbed 4.13 points, or 0.37 per cent, to close on 1,129.1.

Butterfield Bank’s US-listed shares plunged $2.06, or 12.05 per cent, to close at $15.03 on the New York Stock Exchange. The bank last traded at $19 on the BSX.
