Break free from hate cycleFebruary 17, 2011Dear Sir,This race issue needs to die because it's us blacks who are our worst enemies. We often treat other black people badly and it goes a long way. You have blacks that can't respect the privacy of others so they allow members of their own households to become a rebellious bunch and they don't seem to care about who's complaining about the problem. We complain about students having potty mouths and yet black people (some of them anyway) have used profanity around them. How are you supposed to learn it's wrong to say that to people if you're too busy yelling profanity at them now?Some students go school wearing dilapidated clothes and it's bad enough they don't seem to mind but worse still because the parents won't buy them decent clothes for school (I guess you figure if they won't get a job to get decent schoolwear, why worry about them?). How many white schoolchildren dress that way? Most of the gang violence is caused by blacks killing blacks (how many times have you heard some white dude laid out another white dude?) Although white youngsters get locked up for doing stupid things, the two women in today's paper (February 16, 2011) were not white. Nope! Rather it was two young black women who had the nerve to say, they were trying to straighten out their lives.A person was right about equality though. There are probably just as many white cell phone drivers/text drivers and every other wrong doer on the road and otherwise as much as the black folk. The thing that should be noted about that equality part though is the same way that people tend to focus on the negativity of whites/blacks. There's probably, a great number of different races doing positive things as well. Something to think about.Bermuda is dying (financially, in hospitality and in other ways) including politicians at each others' throats despite the party being totally black and you want to bring up things about other people? The only way to break free from the cycle of hate is to break free from Satan (in more ways than one). How many are willing to go along with that, will eventually have a better life and not focus so much on racist stuff, and other messed up things that are happening?
