Viaje a Mexico!

T.N.Tatem students with Mexican children at an orphanage in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

A group of 17 students and 12 teachers and parents left Bermuda on Saturday, April 5, headed for Cuernavaca, Mexico.

While in Mexico we studied in Spanish each morning, visited places of interest in the afternoons, and spent our nights in the homes of Mexican sponsors.

We were totally immersed in the Mexican culture and had to hold conversations in Spanish.

We toured the pyramids at Teotihuacan, Xochimilco and the 6 Flags in Mexico City, the silver mines in Taxco.

We returned to the island on April 15. Some of the words that we would use to describe the Mexico trip are: exciting, fun, great, interesting, enlightening and excelente.

Next year the plan is to visit Costa Rica.
