Breaking News: Another taxi driver threatened by armed man

Another taxi driver has been threatened by men apparently armed with a gun.Police said that at 3.05 a.m. yesterday, a taxi driver picked up a fare in Hamilton when a man asked to be taken to the Bailey's Bay, Hamilton Parish area.A <a href="http://www.police.bm" target="_blank">Police</a> spokesman said: “Once there the taxi driver was directed to the Callen Glen Drive area. When the taxi stopped, two unknown men approached the vehicle, one brandishing what appeared to be a firearm. All three suspects subsequently made good their escape on foot with a quantity of cash heading east along the Railway Trail. The taxi driver, a 65-year-old Devonshire man, was not injured.”

The first suspect, the taxi passenger, is described as a brown skinned male wearing a blue hat with a white peak, a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He was clean shaven and believed to be in his 20s. The second suspect, the person who brandished the weapon, is described as approximately 5ft 5ins, wearing a dark coloured hooded top. He is also believed to be in his 20s. The third suspect is described as heavy set, wearing all red clothing.

It is the latest incident of taxi drivers being threatened by people apparently armed in the last two weeks.
