Five primary schools could close and a new senior alternative school be built as the Ministry of Education looks to take drastic measures to improve student performance.

While the changes are still in the preliminary phase, some of them could be implemented as early at September.

An Education spokesman said: “We have to look at some bold changes that are going to results in better outcomes for our students.”

This information was not set to be released to the public but after a document was leaked, an education official shared the information with this newspaper.
