A 20-strong Bermuda squad has been named to carry the Island’s hopes in the Under-17 Women’s World Cup Caribbean qualifiers in Puerto Rico this week.

The team departs tomorrow for Puerto Rico, where they are pitted in group A against Jamaica, Cuba and the host nation.

Bermuda Women Under-17, under the direction of head coach Aaron Denkins, open their programme against Cuba on Friday at 4.30pm, followed by matches against Jamaica on Sunday, also at 4.30pm, and Puerto Rico on Tuesday at 7.30pm.

In group B are Trinidad & Tobago, Dominica Repulic, Haiti and Barbados.

The top two teams will proceed to the eight-team Concacaf championship in Grenada next March, with three to reach the World Cup in Jordan next September.
