Top coach to run camp
Top volleyball coach Juan Cartagena De Jesus will share his vast knowledge with Bermuda's future players at the Island's first ever Bermuda Volleyball Association (BVA) Youth Camp.
The camp will be held at CedarBridge Academy, running from February 8 to 12 and will give students aged 12 and over the opportunity to learn basic volleyball skills.
De Jesus, a Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) level three coach, has previously worked with the Puerto Rico junior national team, and coaches through the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) development programme
NORCECA aims to popularise the sport through its member organisations.
In addition to the youth programme, De Jesus will be running training sessions for the men's and women's national teams while on the Island.
The cost of the camp is $125 for the week. No prior volleyball experience is necessary.
