Bermuda-based Validus Holdings Ltd. has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Talbot Underwriting Ltd. will be expanding its presence in the international construction and engineering market with two new appointments.

Simon Wilcock and Patrick Bravery, both experienced underwriters who had formerly been with Swiss Re in London, will join Talbot's Syndicate 1183 in 2010.

Mr. Wilcock and Mr. Bravery will report to David Turner, Talbot's construction global practice leader at the Lloyd's of London-based operation.
