Tropical Storm Colin is not a threat at this time
A tropical storm which formed in the Atlantic this week does not pose a threat to Bermuda at this time, forecasters say.
The closest tropical storm Colin is expected to come to the Island is 561 miles to the south, on Friday at 12 p.m.
At the moment the storm is more than 1300 miles southeast of Bermuda, with maximum sustained winds of 45 knots.
The Bermuda Weather Service yesterday said it is unlikely the storm will come close enough to do any damage here.
"At the moment, the way things are developing, it's out of harms way but it can change and the best thing people can do is keep an eye on the forecast. It's looking quite promising that it will move to the west."
