Butterfield Bank's share price rose 3.57 percent (five cents) to $1.45 on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank traded 6,000 shares during the day.

But BF&M Ltd. dropped 3.84 percent (50 cents) to $12.50, as 4,800 shares changed hands.

The Index, as a whole, rose 20.39 points (1.67 percent) to 1,243.91, with 10,800 shares worth $68,880 transacted.

The BSX Insurance Index remained unchanged at 948.
