Butterfield Bank's preference shares were the only movers on The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX) yesterday.

The bank's shares rose $25 in value to $250, with a total of 479 traded, while it also saw 48,340 common shares change hands, but the price held firm at $5.05.

Other traders included the Ascendant Group Ltd., which transacted 2,000,and KeyTech Ltd., which traded 800 shares, but their respective share values remained unchanged.

Overall the Index opened and closed at 2,305.79, as 51,140 shares worth BD$283,582.65 and 797 shares worth US$602,168.50 changed hands.

The BSX Insurance Index was up 6.59 points (0.71 percent) at 929.84.
