Butterfield Bank was the big winner on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

The bank boosted its share price by $1 (6.68 percent) to close at $16, with 33,013.

But Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. plummeted 45 cents (7.5 percent) to finish on $5.55, as 360 shares changed hands.

As a whole, the Index was up slightly by 170.66 points (3.69 percent) at 4,794.64, with 33,373 shares worth $530,374.50 being traded.

The BSX Insurance Index, however fell 0.22 percent to 956.03.
