Utilties take big hit
The utilities sector was hardest hit again for the second time this week on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
Belco Holdings Ltd. fell 50 cents (2.32 percent) to close at $21, with 404 shares traded, while KeyTech Ltd. dropped 45 cents (3.1 percent) to finish on $14.05, as 108 shares changed hands.
Bermuda Aviation Servies Ltd. also declined 15 cents (2.43 percent) to $6, with 1,622 shares transacted.
Other traders included Butterfield Bank (50,256 shares), Argus Group Holdings Ltd. (300) and BF&M Ltd. (16), but all of their share prices remained unchanged.
Overall, the Index fell 21.14 points (0.46 percent) to 4,604.07, with 52,706 shares worth $771,241.70 traded.
The BSX Insurance Index also dropped 0.38 percent to 958.22.
