Banking on BSX

Banking and insurance were among the busiest sectors on The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.
Butterfield Bank's share value rose 10 cents (0.67 percent) to $14,90, with 10,400 shares traded, while Bermuda Commercial Bank Ltd. saw 2,000 shares change hands as its share price climbed five cents (0.45 percent) to $11.
Argus Group Holdings Ltd., however, dropped $1.05 (6.75 percent) to $14.50, with 3,000 shares being transacted.
Meanwhile KeyTech Ltd. was up 50 cents (3.57 percent) to $14.50 with 5,200 shares traded.
Overall the Index fell 9.95 points (0.22 percent) to finish on 4,600.47, as 20,600 shares worth $293,660 changed hands.
The BSX Insurance Index increased again by 2.14 percent to close at 988.35.
