Worker injured in three storey fall
A foreign national was air lifted off the Island, after he fell three stories off a balcony in St. George's.
According to a Police spokesman, the incident happened around 8.10 p.m. on Saturday at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences (BIOS). The spokesman said: "It appears that the victim, a 27-year-old St. George man, believed to be a foreign national, fell approximately three stories from a balcony on the premises. The St. George's man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of his injuries.
"At last check on Sunday, he was in the Intensive Care Unit. Inquiries into this incident are underway."
A hospital spokesperson confirmed last night the man had been air lifted for further medical assistance some time on Sunday, however denied to comment on the extent of the victim's injuries.
