A local charity dedicated to helping disabled children in the community wants to thank the public for their "overwhelming" support.

Committee of 25 for Handicapped Children held their 54th tag day on August 15, 2008. The public assisted them by donating money and hours of their time to make the tag day a success.

Coordinator Melanie Whaley said: "This tremendous response reflects the humanitarian spirit guiding the Bermudian public."

The Royal Gazette understands the charity will also be hosting another tag day today and encourages everyone to help.
