New squash/sports centre set to open
Squash enthusiasts are set to be served up a treat when a state-of-the-art sports centre – complete with three air conditioned courts – opens its doors at the start of next year.
Court House Squash and Wellness Centre, in Victoria Place, Hamilton, will also feature an on-line booking facility with members able to play squash seven days a-week, 24 hours a-day
The brand new centre will also include a gymnasium with free-weights, treadmills, climbers, steppers, rowers, bikes, plate-loaded and selectorised equipment and will be Bermuda's first 'Green Building', designed to reduce its carbon footprint.
Manager Sue Pell said squash players of all standards would be able to enjoy the "top of the range" facilities with the centre also running a league for its members.
"We're looking to promote the sport of squash and our courts will be the only air conditioned ones available to the public on the Island," she said.
"Members of all standards will be able to play and can book a court directly on-line. We're looking at setting up a league and may play against other clubs on the Island."
Court House Squash and Wellness centre will be open in January. For more details visit www.courthouse.bm
