Shipping lines' May transpacific traffic rose 24% from a year ago

LONDON (Bloomberg) — A.P. Moeller-Maersk A/S and 14 other shipping lines moved 24 percent more containers in May from the same month a year earlier on transpacific trade. Containers transported to the east and gulf coasts through the Panama Canal jumped 31 percent, the Transpacific Stabilisation Agreement said in an e-mailed statement.
