Extra Sally Bassett statue programmes printed

Four hundred extra commemorative programmes from the Sally Bassett monument official opening ceremony have been printed after the initial supply was snapped up by members of the public.

Anyone who was unable to get a commemorative programme at the February 9 ceremony can now collect a copy at the Cabinet Office during normal business hours.

The number of copies in the reprint was chosen because this year marks Bermuda's 400th Anniversary and the Sally Bassett monument official opening was part of the Bermuda 2009 calendar of events.

An estimated 325 people attended the official opening on the Cabinet Office grounds and there were 200 commemorative programmes in the first printing.

There will be no further printing of this programme once the additional 400 copies are distributed.

The Bermuda Department of Tourism sponsored the reprinting.
