FA CUP QUARTER-FINALS

Robin Hood v North Village

A match-up between the dark horses and one of the favourites to lift the cup could throw up plenty of fireworks.

Hood will need to shake off their mid-week loss to Prospect and focus on a team who they could be facing next season should they gain promotion.

Their once solid defence is looking leaky as of late and they will need to keep the midfield clogged if they are to have a shot of pulling off a surprise.

Village, on the other hand, won't be taking this match lightly as they look to continue their cup quest.

Ralph Bean Jr. is coming into scoring form while the rest of the side are playing with supreme confidence.

If they can test Hood's keeper enough they should get through this game with ease.

Prediction: Village 3-0

PHC v Somerset Eagles

Arguably the game of the round will see these two West End rivals lock horns for a spot in the semi-finals.

For PHC, who hold the record for the most FA Cups victories, this is a good way to maintain their momentum in their run-in to the league title while also knocking serious contenders out of the competition.

Eagles will also use this match as an avenue to try and win something this year, and knocking out PHC would go a long way towards boosting their confidence.

While both sides have plenty of attacking options, the team who can take their chances best will come out on top, although it could be that neither can break the ice.

Prediction: PHC 2-1

YMSC v Devonshire Cougars

In the biggest mismatch of the round, Cougars should have no problem disposing of Social Club, given they take the tie seriously.

With Cougars reeling in the league and looking to get back some confidence, this would be as good a game as any to get back on track and advance to the semis in the process.

With only one real chance of winning any silverware, the FA will be their main focus as they look to build momentum as they prepare for their Champions League clash.

Social Club will need to draw on all of their experience to get something out of this game.

Yet they shouldn't be counted out as this is the FA Cup and cup magic can emerge at any time.

Prediction: Cougars 3-0

Hamilton Parish v Boulevard

These two sides have had close encounters this year with only the odd goal separating them.

This game shouldn't be any different considering the troubles both are enduring in the league.

Last week Blazers bounced back from two goals down to get a valuable point against Eagles and will carry that determination and grit into this match.

Parish have had encouraging displays throughout the season but results haven't gone their way.

If Jamie Smith can get a few cracks on goal and the midfield can hold their own against their more successful opponents, then they could very well step into the next round.

But they will need Nigel Burgess to be his efficient self in goal to be competitive.

Prediction: Boulevard 2-1
