A Devonshire man lost control of his car and drove it into a tree early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the single-vehicle accident on Middle Road in Smith's near the junction with Aldie Drive, at 5.50 a.m.

Said a Police spokesperson: "The Devonshire man complained of minor chest pain. The car received extensive front end damage."

Inquiries into the incident are underway.
