PartnerRe is set to hold a shareholders meeting to discuss the acquisition of Paris Re Holdings Ltd. after filing a definitive proxy statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission yesterday.

The special general meeting, to be held on September 24, relates to the recently announced agreements entered into by PartnerRe to acquire of all of Paris Re's outstanding shares and warrants.
