PartnerRe Ltd. yesterday announced two executive changes in the operations of PartnerRe Global operations.

Costas Miranthis will be promoted from deputy chief executive officer of PartnerRe Global to CEO, PartnerRe Global, effective July 1, 2008.

In conjunction with the appointment of Mr. Miranthis, Bruno Meyenhofer, currently CEO, PartnerRe Global, will be appointed to the newly created position of chairman of PartnerRe Global, effective the same date. Both positions will report to Patrick Thiele, president and CEO of PartnerRe Ltd.

In July 2007, Mr. Miranthis assumed the role of deputy CEO, Global, and has been responsible for the executive management of PartnerRe's Global business units. Prior to that, Mr. Miranthis served as the Group's chief actuarial officer from 2002-2007.

Mr. Meyenhofer has held the position of CEO, PartnerRe Global and has been a member of the PartnerRe executive committee since 1998, when he joined PartnerRe through the Company's acquisition of Winterthur Re.
