Dear Sir,

Like most Bermuda fans I was disappointed with the results of Bermuda's first two World Cup qualifying matches. I thought based on our preparation and recent tour of the Caribbean we would have won both and been well on our way to entering the next phase of the competition.

Instead we lost both and find ourselves languishing at the bottom of group B and in the unenviable position of 'do or die'.

I must confess to becoming somewhat disillusioned and critical but after careful consideration I would encourage Bermuda fans not to give up. We can yet qualify for the next round if we win our remaining three games.

It will call for a renewed effort from our boys but if they 'dig deep' and are prepared to fully commit themselves I believe they can do it.

Now I recognise that we have made things difficult for ourselves by needing to beat powerhouses Holland and Kenya to do it but it can be done, after all they are only human. Despite their higher ranking the game is played on the field not on paper.

So I encourage the team and our fans to keep hope alive. We can still overcome. Remember the words of President's Obama's campaign . . . 'Yes We Can!!!'
