What is your favourite part of the job? I absolutely love that no two work days are the same. The clients/industries I work with, the matters I get involved in the different people I interact with - they are always different from day-to-day.

What is your least favourite part of the job? The intensity level at which client issues surface. The energy level required to deal with urgent and complex situations is colossal sometimes. But I have to admit, I thrive off of it!

What is you most interesting experience at work? Well, interesting I'm not sure about, but embarrassing definitely! I was facilitating a public training seminar (individuals from a cross-section of Bermuda businesses attend a session, rather than running an seminar for a group of staff for one client only. Everyone seemed quite engaged and attentive, which for a facilitator, is the best. Meanwhile, I wrap up the three-hour session, breakdown all the equipment and nip to the rest room before going to my next meeting. I washed my hands, fixed my hair...looked down and...gasp...a button on front of my shirt was undone and wide open! No wonder everyone was so focused - it was the most inopportune button of all!

What would you be doing otherwise? I have always wanted to become a certified EMT/paramedic and volunteer here at home. I am in the process of planning to attain my certification in the next few years. Unfortunately remuneration for such a service isn't reflected in the value it adds and therefore HR will continue to be my "bread and butter". After all, it is what I know best and I still wake up almost every morning looking forward to getting to work!
