Ironshore Inc.'s healthcare division IronHealth has announced it will provide miscellaneous healthcare facility (MHF) professional liability insurance through a partnership with CRC Insurance Services Inc.

IronHealth's experienced underwriting team, in co-operation with CRC-PRO, will provide professional liability insurance for this healthcare sector that supplies specialised medical services beyond those of the traditional hospital, managed care or long-term care institution.

The services include independent, patient-driven medical practice/treatment facilities such as medical clinics, surgery centres, women's health centres, home health agencies, dialysis, imaging centres and rehabilitation facilities.

"Miscellaneous healthcare facilities, offering a diverse range of medical support and treatment services in response to patient healthcare demand, are finding themselves in need of innovative professional liability solutions," said Matthew Dolan, president of IronHealth.

IronHealth's insurance for smaller MHF risks (ie premiums less than $150,000) will be underwritten by CRC and produced exclusively through CRC's nationwide network of brokers, recognised for managing varied, specialty healthcare accounts. Larger MHF risks will be underwritten by IronHealth.
