The Notebook is back!

We have a lot of catching up to do in this Note Book column, now that we are partially back in orbit, having been completely knocked out in the aftermath of Hurricane Igor.

We intend to report sooner or later on the unforgettable tribute to the late Dr. Dorothy Thompson both at St. Theresa's Cathedral and at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts; also the 80th birthday salute at LANDFALL to music teacher extraordinaire, Mrs. Elois Djfono; a tribute to the late Mrs. Eileen Marry "Teddy" Bing-Basden, whose first husband was the late controversial Geoffrey Bing, one-time Attorney General of the Gold Coast before it became the independent nation of Ghana.

The more recent events we'll be catching up on include the Trail Blazers Awards night at Fairmont Southampton Princess; unveiling of a mural honoring the late Berwyn Cann. And of course there was the celebration of the 125th Anniversary of St. Paul AME Church, Hamilton.
