Woman hurt in collision

Two female drivers were involved in a road accident which resulted in one woman suffering a fractured leg.
Around 8.45 a.m. on Thursday Police attended the accident at the junction of South Road and Zuill's Park Road, in Smith's, involving a cycle and a car.
It appeared the 49-year-old female cycle rider was travelling south on Zuill's Park Road and the 52-year-old driver of the car was travelling east on South Road when the rider attempted to turn right.
The vehicles collided and the woman bike rider sustained a fractured right leg. She was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The car driver was not injured.
