Rec room for teenagers
thanks to sponsorship by the Bank of Bermuda's Charitable Trust.
The newly renovated room at St. George's Cricket Club provides facilities to play table tennis, board games and video games.
It will complement the club's after school programme for children between the ages of seven and 14 which is due to begin in November.
And it should prove to be popular for children attending the club's football and cricket practices.
St. George's Cricket Club president Louis (Red) Desilva said: "We are truly grateful to the Bank of Bermuda's Charitable Trust for this wonderful opportunity for the youth of St. George's.
"We needed a smoke and alcohol free venue for youngsters and their parents to spend time together away from the bar.'' Bank of Bermuda trust manager David Lang added: "We are delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile initiative for the youth of St. George's. It is important that young people have a safe and supervised environment in which to play after school.''
