A robbery at the Grotto Bay Resort was averted yesterday after a would-be robber was confronted by hotel employees.
According to a Police spokesman, officers were informed of an attempted robbery at the hotel at around 5.20 a.m.
The spokesman said: "It appears an unknown man brandishing a bladed article attempted to enter an office, but was stopped by an employee who was working in the office at the time.
"The man then made good his escape empty-handed after being confronted by the hotel's security officer."
The suspect is described as a black male between 5ft 11in and 6ft 2in. He was wearing a white hooded jacked with a green pattern, dark coloured pants, white sneakers and dark sunglasses.
