Gas prices increase

Driving to Somerset for Cup Match this year is going to be more expensive then last year after the price of fuel has risen over 16 percent since this time last year.

The Ministry of Finance announced yesterday that the maximum price of gasoline has been increased by 4.1 cents per litre to $2.10 per litre, a 29 cent increase since last July.

While still less expensive at the pump, the maximum price of diesel and kerosene also rose by 6.7 cents per litre and 7.9 cents per litre respectively.

As of yesterday the maximum retail prices on diesel is $2.07 per litre, while kerosene could sell for as much as $1.81 per litre.
