Unbeaten Cougars aiming to make it three in a row
Devonshire Cougars will look to make it three wins out of three when they take on Somerset Eagles in the Dudley Eve Trophy tonight.
Cougars have made a strong start to the season and will be confident of maintaining their 100 percent record when they welcome Eagles to Devonshire Rec.
Having already won the Charity Cup by beating defending champions Dandy Town, Cougars kicked off the new league season with a 4-1 thrashing of Southampton Rangers at the weekend.
Player-coach Kwame Steede bagged a brace in that match with club captain Domico Coddington and young winger Lejuan Simmons also finding the net.
Eagles will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing 4-3 defeat at home to North Village in new coach Marlon Rojas' first game in charge. The West Enders had been leading 3-1 at the interval but allowed Village back into the game who grabbed a late winner through Sammy DeGraff.
Tonight's other Dudley Eve game will see Boulevard lock horns with cross-town rivals Dandy Town.
Blazers, who beat PHC 4-3 in the opening match of the Dudley Eve, were involved in an exciting tussle against Devonshire Colts on Sunday which ended 4-4.
Their opponents Dandy Town made winning start to their title defence by beating St.David's 3-0.
Blazers take on Hornets at 7 p.m., while Cougars face Eagles at 9 p.m.
